It happens all the time. When you move from one place to the next, one school to another, one job to the next. It’s the way it is.
You might have been on the inside, but then you’re on the outside. As the Bruce Hornsby song goes,
Don’t believe it. It’s not fate. You’re not on the outside. You’re you. You’re the only you there is. Be yourself. Be authentically you.
The search is over
You may feel like an outsider among some. But the important thing is this: On the inside, it’s just you.
When you know who you are, who you are made to be, you’re free on the inside and you can really welcome anyone alongside the authentic you. You don’t need to make anyone else feel like they are on the outside.
